天使预言撒迦利亚的妻子要怀孕生一个儿子，要起名叫约翰
But the angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John.	Prayer 祷告，祈祷 Bear 生 Give sb a name 起名
施洗约翰的出生会使很多人欢喜，因约翰在上帝眼中为大
He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord.	Joy and delight to sb 成为。。的欢喜 Rejoice 高兴，欢喜 In the sight of God 在上帝眼中
施洗约翰从出生就被圣灵充满，把以色列人的心带回上帝那里
He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth. Many of the people of Israel will he bring back to the Lord their God. And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous--to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." 注解：Elijah 以利亚：圣经旧约中大有能力的先知	Take wine 喝酒 Fermented drink 发酵的饮料 Be filled with 被。。充满 Holy spirit 圣灵 Turn the heart of sb to sb 把心。。。转向。。。 Disobedient 悖逆，不顺服 Righteous 公义的 Be prepared for 预备好
因撒迦利亚不相信天使的话，天使让他变哑
Zechariah asked the angel, "How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years." The angel answered, "I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time."	Well along in years 年岁已高 Stand in the presence of God 站在上帝面前 Good news 好消息 Believe相信 Come true 实现，成真 Proper time 合适的时间
撒迦利亚回家，伊丽莎白怀孕。她说：“上帝怜悯我，把我在人间的羞耻除掉。”
When his time of service was completed, he returned home. After this his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and for five months remained in seclusion. "The Lord has done this for me," she said. "In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people."	Pregnant 怀孕 Remain 保持 Seclusion 隐藏 Show favor to sb怜悯某人 Take away one’s disgrace 洗掉某人的羞耻
